Raeisi, who is a hopeful at ongoing presidential elections in Iran, made the remarks while paying a visit to Elections Headquarters in Interior Ministry in final hours of polling in Iran.
He appreciated efforts of all those involved in the balloting process asserting that election mechanisms in Iran were reliable and reassuring.
“Given prior experiences in holding elections, no problem will occur if legal procedures are properly followed,” he continued.
Raeisi however noted that he had received reports on certain problems in the voting process in certain areas; “for instance, even though the law has foreseen inclusion of candidates’ appellations (if any) on noticeboards near ballot boxes, mine was missing in a number voting centers,” underlined Raeisi whose real surname is Raeisosadat.
The official mentioned a number of other reported misconducts reported from certain areas including difficulties for presence of candidate representatives.
At the end of his remarks, Raeisi said an account of the issues had been given to the Interior Ministry.
